Prof. Dr. Probal Chaudhuri, Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta , will give a talk on "Spatial Depth in Dimensions One, Two, Three , ... Infinity". It will take place on June, 25th 17:00 online in Zoom. There will be an informal chat over tea/coffee begining at 16:30 and there will be time to discuss the talk in a smaller round after the presentation.

Abstract

This talk will begin with an introduction of spatial depth in finite and infinite dimensions. Then I shall discuss some of its interesting properties and useful statistical applications. I'll conclude by posing some open problems
